CLEVELAND (AP) -General manager Danny Ferry's creative moves and owner Dan Gilbert's wallet have turned over the Cavaliers' roster in an attempt to give LeBron James plenty of reasons to remain in Cleveland beyond this season.
Gilbert spent five days with James last summer at a business conference in Idaho. Gilbert has done all he can to persuade James to stay, including opening his checkbook again for Antawn Jamison.
Now he has to hope it's enough to keep his superstar.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. The information contained in the AP News report may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed without the prior written authority of The Associated Press.
