Girardi was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions that included kicking dirt on umpire Chris Guccione, in the ninth inning of the Yankees' 2-1 win over Baltimore on Thursday.

Joyner was also hit with a one-game suspension and fined an undisclosed amount for coming onto the playing field to argue a call in the sixth inning of the Padres' 11-3 loss to St. Louis on Wednesday.
