Dodgers designate Haeger for assignment

06/25/2010 - Los Angeles, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Los Angeles Dodgers designated pitcher Charlie Haeger for assignment and recalled pitcher Jon Link from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Haeger pitched 4 2/3 innings against the Angels on Thursday, allowing four runs on five hits. He was 0-4 with an 8.40 ERA in six starts this season for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have 10 days to trade Haeger, release him, or if he clears waivers, outright him back to the minors.

In four relief appearances this year with Los Angeles, Link holds no record and a 4.15 earned run average.
