LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Texas Tech is set to introduce new basketball coach Billy Gillispie.

Gillispie will meet Red Raiders fans and media members at the school's arena Wednesday morning.

He and Tech have agreed to a five-year contract.

The 51-year-old Abilene native, who is 140-85 in seven seasons as a Division I coach, led UTEP and Texas A&M to remarkable turnarounds. Texas Tech officials are hopeful he can do the same in Lubbock.
